Showing up for class isn’t always easy.

Showing up for an 8 a.m. class is even harder.

And showing up for an 8 a.m. class the morning after hitting the biggest bucket of your life is just darn diligent.

University of North Carolina’s Luke Maye was up and about Monday morning, able to attend class about 12 hours after sending the Tar Heels to their 20th Final Four appearance with a buzzer-beater against Kentucky.

He received a standing ovation for his heroics.

The Final Four gets underway on Saturday (thankfully not a school night), and UNC will face Oregon for a spot in the final.

Gonzaga faces South Carolina in the other semifinal matchup.
