Jazz centre Kanter loses 51 lbs in 2 months

Utah Jazz centre Enes Kanter has reportedly lost 51 pounds over the last two months, according to Jazz beat writer Bill Oram.

After finishing last season at 270 lbs, Kanter’s weight increased to 293 lbs before he started watching what he ate and working out constantly over the summer. The 20-year-old showed up to Media Day yesterday, with a considerably trimmed, 241-pound body.

So what’s his secret?

His diet now consists of mainly salad and seafood but it’s what his eating habits were previously that takes the cake, pun intended. When asked to describe his daily food consumption, Kanter replied:

“First my breakfast: I was eating like six eggs, omelet with six eggs; seven or eight pancakes, with sugar, whipped cream, everything; then a breakfast burrito. That was just my breakfast. Then I came to practice and my lunch was just like pasta, chicken alfredo or whatever, and then a burger and an appetizer. Dessert? No. Dessert was at dinnertime. Dinnertime I ate another burger, a big meal again and a dessert.”
