MIAMI — Dwyane Wade is an All-Star, although whether he’ll play in the NBA’s annual showcase remains uncertain.

Wade was announced as an Eastern Conference reserve Thursday, his 11th straight selection to the All-Star squad. That came hours after the Miami Heat ruled Wade out for Friday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks, and after Wade said missing more than two weeks is a possibility.

Such a timetable would practically ensure that he doesn’t play in New York on Feb. 15.

But there are bigger priorities for the Heat, who trying to stay in the East playoff chase. Injuries have decimated Miami all season, and neither Wade nor Luol Deng will play Friday — which means the Heat are almost certain to use their 19th starting lineup in 46 games.
