Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson broke the NBA record for most three-pointers in a game on Monday night with his 14th coming with 4:53 remaining in the third quarter.
That total beats teammate Steph Curry’s record of 13, set on Nov. 8, 2016 against the New Orleans Pelicans. Thompson also tied the record for most three-pointers in a half with 10.
The lights-out shooting helped the Warriors accumulate the second-highest ever point total, 92, in the first half of an NBA game. The Bulls trailed by 42 at halftime.
The NBA’s three-point revolution is in full effect, with Steph Curry having just set another record on Sunday by marking his seventh straight game with at least five 3-pointers.
