There is a lot of emotion attached to a life-changing contract like the five-year, $80 million deal that John Wall signed with the Washington Wizards.
And at a press conference Thursday, Wall wore his emotions on his sleeve when discussing what the contract means to him and his family.
Wall talked about the sacrifices his mother had to make while raising him and his siblings, and spoke about how his grandma and aunts supported him throughout the years before he was overcome with emotion.
Wall was the first-overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft and has averaged 16.9 points, eight assists, 4.4 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 35.8 minutes per game with the Wizards during his career and has started 172 of 184 games.
