Lou Williams’ Sixth Man Award-winning season was nothing short of spectacular.
With plenty of plays to choose from, here are ‘Sweet Lou’s’ six most memorable moments from his first year in a Toronto Raptors uniform.
1. Game-winning shot in Orlando
After Victor Oladipo put the Magic ahead, Williams responded with a corner three to seal the win for the Raptors.
2. Three-point barrage against his ex-running mates
Playing against the Atlanta Hawks, the 28-year-old exploded for seven three-pointers in Toronto’s first game out of the all-star break.
3. Step-back jumper over LeBron
In an early-season matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Williams dropped jaws with this crossover step-back beauty over King James.
4. Quarter-ending buzzer beater vs. Milwaukee
The 10-year veteran proved himself as a true late-clock threat this past season, connecting on numerous buzzer beaters including this one in what would later be dubbed ‘The Bruno Game.’
5. Steal and alley-oop pass to James Johnson
Who says Williams is all about scoring? In this clash with the Chicago Bulls, he shows off some defence and passing.
6. And the foul
One of the league’s best at drawing and finishing through contact, a sliding Bojan Bogdanovic wasn’t going to prevent Williams from draining this basket.
