Kyle Lowry scored 30 points to lead the Toronto Raptors to a thrilling win over the Houston Rockets.

The Toronto Raptors 108-105 win over the Houston Rockets on Friday was the most-watched Toronto Raptors regular season game in Canada ever.

Over 1.67 million people watched some or all of the game on Sportsnet One and Sportsnet Ontario, with the average viewership hitting 552,000, as the Raptors snapped the Rockets 17-game winning streak.

“The excitement for the Raptors is clearly building right across the country,” said Scott Moore, President of Sportsnet & NHL Properties, Rogers Media in a press release. “Sportsnet will continue to provide full coverage of the Raptors across all of our platforms and we look forward to, hopefully, an extended playoff run.”

The game peaked with 1.1 million people watching in the final moments, as Jonas Valanciunas picked up a key steal then hit two free throws to secure the win.

With both teams currently leading their conferences, the game also offered fans a chance to see a potential NBA Finals matchup.
