More layers are unfolding in the Washington Wizards debacle.
The Wizards have fined all-star John Wall an undisclosed amount for launching a verbal tirade at coach Scott Brooks during a recent practice, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
“After teammate Jeff Green and Brooks pushed Wall and Wizards teammates to raise the level of intensity in a practice last week, Wall fired back with ‘f––– you’ toward Brooks,” says Wojnarowski.
Wall reportedly then apologized to Brooks “in the minutes after cursing him” and also apologized to his teammates the next day, according to Wojnarowski.
This comes after The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported that the Wizards “had a volatile practice within recent days” resulting in a frustrated Bradley Beal, with the all-star reportedly expressing his discontent with Wizards officials like president Ernie Grunfeld.
The Wizards host the Los Angeles Clippers tomorrow.
