Markelle Fultz has returned to the Philadelphia 76ers after rehabbing in Kentucky.

According to the team’s president of basketball operations, Bryan Colangelo, the No.1 overall pick from the 2017 NBA draft is “progressing well.”

“He continues to focus on the PT and strength and conditioning aspect of the return,” Colangelo told NBC Sports. “The good news is the soreness is completely gone and the muscle imbalance is gone.”

The hype over the Sixers guard has quickly dissipated after he was forced to the sidelines in late October due to right shoulder soreness and scapular muscle imbalance. The impact on his shoulder was so bad that it forced a change in his shooting form that went viral.

In four games coming off the bench, the 19-year-old is averaging six points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists while shooting 33.3 per cent from the field and 50 per cent from the free-throw line.

The 76ers are expected to provide a more detailed medical update on Friday.
