The Golden State WarriorsKevin Durant has been fined $25,000 for cursing at a heckler during Saturday’s 112-109 loss to the Dallas Mavericks.

Durant was recording a live podcast with Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes when news of the fine broke. Upon being informed of how much the fine was, the reigning Finals MVP called heckling “corny” and “weak”.

“[Twenty-five thousand] for telling a fan to shut the f— up and watch the f— ing game,” Durant said. “Grown men can’t come to games and heckle grown men. That’s corny, that’s weak.”

A fan sitting near the incident told TMZ that the heckler’s trash talk was typical for what an NBA fan would do and included calling Durant names like “Cupcake.”

It isn’t the first time Durant has been called that by fans. In his first game back in Oklahama City after leaving for Golden State, Thunder fans wore cupcake shirts and chanted “Cupcake” throughout the game — a reference to the days when Durant played for the Thunder and his then-teammate Kendrick Perkins would poke fun at people who he felt were soft by calling them cupcakes.

Durant and the Warriors return to action on Wednesday night against none other than the Thunder. Tip-off is set for 10:30 p.m. ET.
