With the 2013 NFL season set to kickoff on September 5, I take a look at each club and discuss the one burning question facing them. Today, the Miami Dolphins and whether they have the pieces to make the playoffs.

This is a really interesting question because the Dolphins made a big splash in free agency by signing wide receiver Mike Wallace from the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dannell Ellerbe from the Baltimore Ravens. But they did lose running back Reggie Bush to the Detroit Lions and cornerback Sean Smith to the Kansas City Chiefs in free agency this past offseason. Miami also lost tight end Dustin Keller to a horrific knee injury.
I think the Dolphins will be competitive with six to eight wins but not enough to win the AFC East or get a wildcard playoff spot. The AFC North is too competitive and could see as many as three teams coming out of the division so Miami is on the outside looking in. Plus their first few games of the season are hard but they do have a bright future with Ryan Tannehill at quarterback.
