It sure hasn’t been an easy summer transfer window for Manchester United boss David Moyes. In the early stages, he had to deal with all the speculation surrounding Wayne Rooney and whether Rooney is or is not staying at United. There was the missed opportunity to bring in Fabio Coentrao and at least three transfer offers for his former players Leighton Baines and Marouane Fellaini were rejected. But on the final day, just hours before the window closed Moyes was rewarded for his determination and Manchester United was able to secure a deal with Fellaini after all.

The 25-year-old Belgian midfielder has signed a contract worth 27.5 million pounds with United. It’s not what the club was hoping for, but it’s still an excellent signing in my opinion. Fellaini has loads of potential, great pace, and of course has experience playing under David Moyes. Fellaini will provide some much needed help in the midfield for United.
He will be able to provide Michael Carrick or Anderson with some much needed help. Fellaini’s dribbling skills and pace is exactly what the United midfield needs to succeed. I for one applaud this signing and I’m sure it will help United. I don’t believe this was a desperation signing. I believe this was a fantastic, strategic move by Moyes.
I don’t think it will take very long for Fellaini to have a positive impact on the squad at all. And after a 1-0 loss to rivals Liverpool, United really need a morale boost.
I’m 100 percent certain that Fellaini will provide just that. The only other thing I would like to see is more of Chicharito Hernandez. I sure hope he is given some opportunities soon. I can’t wait to see how Moyes will switch things around now that Fellaini is finally signed at Old Trafford.
