The New York Giants have had the injury bug hit them the most it seems in the preseason. With injuries to Victor Cruz, David Diehl, and now Stevie Brown everything is not all good in the Big Apple. The injuries to Cruz and Diehl hurt the most because both players are keys to the offense.
Unlike Hakeem Nicks, the Giants other wide receiver, Cruz is a playmaker and has a chance to make a game breaking play at any time. Stevie Brown’s injury hurts a lot to as he tore his ACL and looks like he was going to be a starter in the secondary.
Finally, remember this, the Giants are without superstar defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul who is still recovering from back surgery this past offseason. He is still on the PUP list but if the Giants can get him back in the middle of the season, then it will be a great pick up.
