With the 2013 NFL season set to get underway on Thursday, Fan Fuel is taking a look at some of the unique foods sold around the league at each team’s stadium. Today, we look in on the Green Bay Packers and their unique “Eat like a player/player designed burgers” charity promotion available at Lambeau Field at the famous Curly’s Pub. For the week of August 30 to September 7, “The Claymaker Burger” was designed and named by linebacker Clay Matthews and it looks amazing.

The ingredients? Curly’s special Prime Blend Burger (fresh, never frozen) topped with Bacon, a Fried Egg, Cheddar Cheese, Avocado, Lettuce, Tomato and a Crispy Fried Onion Ring. All for $15.

All “Player Designed Burgers” include a commemorative photo and every 50th photo will be personally signed by Matthews, with 10 percent of all proceeds going to the charity of his choice.

Seeing that it’s the NFL, what would a charity event be without a little competition? The player/coach who sells out of their burger the quickest will receive an additional $250 for the charity of their choice.

At this point, there is a limit to 500 burgers sold per coach/player per week. However, so far the specialty burgers have been so popular that some of them may be added permanently to the Curly’s Pub menu.
