As the dust settles on an absorbing men’s championship at Wimbledon, it’s time to look forward to the summer season by asking some burning questions as we head into the North American leg of the ATP Tour.

Can Del Potro break through the top four?

Juan Martin Del Potro won the hearts of tennis fans all over the world with his heroic performance against Djokovic at the Wimbledon semis. Hitting crosscourt and inside-out winners with his fearsome forehand, Del Potro reminded many of his form in 2009 when he was poised to breakthrough before injury wrecked his year in 2010.

It’s only this year that Del Potro has finally played the tennis that led to him winning the US Open in 2009. At the age of 24, Del Porto still has time on his hands, and if the Argentine can find the belief to get past the final hurdle, then he can be the one player that can break the monopoly of the big four. After all, he was the last player outside them to win a grand slam.
