The Montreal Alouettes will be short-handed for their home opener against the Toronto Argonauts on Friday.
Canadian centre Justin Lawrence, a two-time CFL East all-star, and receiver Cole Spieker have been placed on the six-game injured list after both suffered ankle injuries in last week's season-opening win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
Spieker had 54 catches for 609 yards and four touchdowns last year.
Canadian Marco Dubois replaces Spiker in the starting lineup Friday, while Canadian Cyrille Hogan-Saindon goes in for Lawrence.
Linebacker Najee Murray (foot) also is out for Montreal and will be replaced by Arthur Hamlin.
