The Toronto Argonauts won't have to face a two-time CFL most outstanding player on Friday.
Winnipeg Blue Bombers quarterback Zach Collaros has been ruled out with a head injury, head coach Mike O'Shea told reporters Wednesday, per team reporter Ed Tait.
Dru Brown will make the start in the important home game.
The 38-year-old Collaros, who has a history of head injuries, exited with the latest injury on Sept. 12 in a win against the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Collaros also missed four games earlier this season with a neck injury.
Brown, reacquired from the Ottawa Redblacks earlier this season, went 2-2 as a starter in Collaros' absence.
His 2026 starting debut was a 30-21 win over the visiting Argos on July 10.
The Blue Bombers (7-6) are tied for third with the B.C. Lions in a tight CFL West Division.
