The Winnipeg Blue Bombers turned in a banner year off the field.
The CFL club announced in its 2025 annual report that it posted an operating profit of $12.1 million, fuelled in part by a sold-out season and hosting the Grey Cup.
“This is a testament to the continued support of our season ticket members, corporate partners, and fans,” president and CEO Wade Miller said in a statement. “They are the reason this club remains strong, on and off the field.”
The club reported total operating revenue of $82.8 million in 2025, a significant jump of $28.1 million from the previous year. Expenses also rose — up $23 million to $70.7 million — largely due to costs associated with hosting the 112th Grey Cup and its accompanying festival.
The Blue Bombers will allocate $11.9 million to its capital fund to support long-term stadium upkeep — along with $1 million to its operating reserve. Those allocations totalled $12.9 million, matching the club’s overall profit for the year.
The strong financial performance also allowed for $8.4 million in capital improvements at Princess Auto Stadium. Upgrades included a new players’ lounge, HVAC remediation, additional contactless security-screening devices, and enhanced concessions equipment aimed at improving service speed and capacity.
Winnipeg has already installed two new high-resolution video boards at the stadium, part of a continued push to elevate the fan experience.
“The image quality is significantly better, and they integrate seamlessly with the ribbon boards we added last season,” Miller said. “We are committed to continuing to invest in our stadium and improving the fan experience every year.”
Further enhancements are planned, including a redesigned Rum Hut, replacement of loge seating, a new food and beverage point-of-sale system, and the addition of a BBQ stand featuring smash burgers and other offerings.
“The Winnipeg Football Club has a strong history of financial stability,” Miller said. “We are the financial stewards of Princess Auto Stadium, committed to ongoing investment to ensure it remains the best stadium in the CFL.”
