The Winnipeg Blue Bombers didn't want to miss the chance to add to their offence after trading up early in the CFL Canadian Draft on Tuesday.
Moving up to the 10th pick, the first pick in the second round, Winnipeg selected North Carolina State University tight end Dante Daniels.
Winnipeg sent the Ottawa Redblacks the 13th-overall pick and a second-round pick in 2027 in order to move up.
The Windsor, Ont., native has played the last two seasons with the Wolfpack, making seven receptions for 74 yards and a touchdown in 2025. He was mainly used as a blocking tight end.
In the first round, the Blue Bombers selected Wake Forest defensive lineman Nuer Gatkuoth with the fourth overall pick.
