The Edmonton Elks got some good news at practice with rookie quarterback Tre Ford returning as a limited participant Wednesday.

This is the first time Ford has been on the field since suffering a shoulder injury in the first quarter against the Calgary Stampeders on July 7.

In five games so far this season, Ford has 219 passing yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. Edmonton selected the dual-threat quarterback with the eighth overall pick in the 2022 CFL Draft.

With Ford sidelined, Taylor Cornelius took over the starting job leading the Elks to a 2-5 record, as they sit last in the CFL's West Division at 3-9.
