Already struggling to start the season, the BC Lions will have to hope for the best for their star QB.
Signal caller Nathan Rourke exited Friday night's game against the Edmonton Elks with an apparent injury and was ruled out soon after.
Rourke left only two plays into the game after being sacked by defensive lineman Noah Taylor. He was seen later on with an ice pack on his non-throwing shoulder.
At the time of his exit, Rourke had not yet completed a pass. He was replaced by backup QB Chase Brice.
Heading into Friday's action, the 28-year-old Rourke had thrown for 1,403 yards with five touchdowns and four interceptions, a step back from his Most Outstanding Player campaign from the 2025 season.
The Lions are currently 1-3 on the season and sit last in the West.
