TORONTO — Winnipeg quarterback Zach Collaros, Ottawa quarterback Caleb Evans and Redblacks receiver DeVonte Dedmon have been named the top performers for Week 9 of the CFL season.

Collaros threw a pair of touchdown passes on Friday as the Blue Bombers increased their winning streak to five games with a 30-9 victory over the B.C. Lions in Vancouver.

He completed 28-of-33 passes for a CFL season-high 417 yards. It was the second time that Collaros has reached 400-plus yards, falling 22 yards shy of his career mark set in 2016.

In his 10th CFL season, Collaros leads the league in passing yards (2,148), while completing 72.4 per cent of his passes, and is second in touchdown passes with 12.

Evans threw three touchdown passes in his first career start as the Redblacks beat visiting Edmonton 34-24 on Sept. 28.

Evans threw for 191 yards and no interceptions, while completing 68.2 per cent of his passes. He also showed off his versatility, rushing for 59 yards on seven carries (8.4 yards per rush).

Dedmon recorded 250 combined return yards and scored his second punt-return touchdown of the season in Ottawa's second win of the 2021 campaign.

In his second CFL season, Dedmon leads the league with 1,319 combined yards.
