Top teams from coast to coast will square off for the opportunity to represent Canada on the world stage in 2026.
The Scotties Tournament of Hearts runs Jan. 23-Feb. 1 in Mississauga, Ont., followed by the Montana's Brier, Feb. 27-March 8 in St. John's, N.L.
With reigning Scotties champion Rachel Homan earning the right to represent Canada at the Olympics in February, the Team Canada Scotties berth is tentatively ticketed for reigning runner-up Kerri Einarson. The highest ranked team on the Canadian Team Ranking System not to qualify for the Scotties after the provincial championships will then earn the final CTRS spot, vacated by Einarson.
Teams skipped by Kayla Skrlik and Christina Black received direct entry into the Scotties based on the CTRS standings. Reigning Brier champ Brad Jacobs is expected to be Team Canada at the Brier. Brad Gushue, Matt Dunstone and Mike McEwen also earned berths for their teams to the Montana's Brier based on last season's points.
