Two Olympic medallists are late additions to the inaugural Rock League season after a couple of Canadians dropped out Friday.
Italy's Amos Mosaner and Swizerland's Benoit Schwarz-van Berkel will replace Canada's Tyler Tardi and Colton Lott, who have decided to take time off following a busy season.
Mosaner captured gold in mixed doubles at the 2022 Olympics and bronze this year in Milano Cortina.
Schwarz-van Berkel won bronze in men's in 2018 and this year.
Meanwhile, Mike McEwen replaces fellow Manitoba native and Brier champ Matt Dunstone, who will play in the world championship next week.
Also, American Colin Hufman replaces Canada's E.J. Harnden.
The inaugural Rock League season goes April 6-12 at Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto.
The Rock League features six teams, with five women and five men on each squad.
