Matt Dunstone is getting another call-up this season to the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling.

Dunstone, who recently captured the Canadian junior title, will fill in on Charley Thomas’s team at the Elite 10, running March 17-20 in Victoria.

The 20-year-old Dunstone made his Pinty’s GSOC series debut as a spare for reigning Brier champions Team Pat Simmons at the Meridian Canadian Open this past December.

Dunstone also skipped his own team to a runner-up finish at the Manitoba Viterra Championship last month and stole headlines making a number of stellar shots during the men’s provincial tournament.

The Winnipeg native is currently en route to Copenhagen, Denmark, where he will skip his Team Canada crew at the world junior curling championships.

The Elite 10 features nine of the top men’s teams on tour plus world-ranked No. 1 Team Rachel Homan, who will make history as the first women’s rink to compete in a Pinty’s GSOC men’s invitational since Sportsnet acquired the series in 2012.
