Fan Fuel: Who’s right, Brian Burke or ESPN?

BY JAMES HUNT – FAN FUEL BLOGGER

So, who got it right, ESPN or Brian Burke? Recently ESPN ranked the Toronto Maple Leafs at the very bottom of the “big four” pile based on the following criteria:

“Affordability, bang for your buck, coaching, fan relations, ownership, players, stadium experience, and title track.”

On Monday, Leafs President and GM Brian Burke fired back suggesting that ESPN doesn’t know a thing about hockey or Canada.

“I don’t think ESPN knows a single thing about hockey,” Burke told press at the MLSE Team Up Foundation charity golf event in Milton, Ont. on Monday. “I think their hockey coverage stinks. I don’t think they know anything about Canada; I don’t think they know anything about hockey.”
