The match between Italy and Bosnia and Herzegovina had its fair share of dramatic moments, especially during penalty kicks.
Things got heated when goalkeepers Nikola Vasilj and Gianluigi Donnarumma clashed after the first spot kicks were taken.
It was indicated that Donnarumma’s cheat sheet, which told him where to dive for each Bosnian penalty, was taken from where he left it.
A ball boy managed to grab Donnarumma’s own penalty cheat sheet and showed it during an interview on Bosnian television.
"It shows which foot players use and how they take penalties. Whether they go left, right, or wait for the goalkeeper," he explained.
The boy was identified as 14-year-old Afan Cizmi, said he saw it next to Donnarumma's towel and decided to grab it in order to take away an advantage for the Italian goalkeeper.
In frustration, Donnarumma grabbed Vasilj's sheet and ripped it. This led to a scuffle, with coaches having to calm down the situation.
Italy would go on to miss the World Cup after missing two penalty kicks while Bosnia converted on all their chances. The four-time World Cup champions have failed to quality for three consecutive tournaments.
