Jesse Marsch has made an interesting choice as he revealed his starting lineup for Canada's World Cup opening match against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Friday.
Tani Oluwaseyi will line up alongside Jonathan David, while Cyle Larin will be on the bench. Larin is second among Canada's all-time leading scorers with 30 goals in 90 matches.
Canada will have Luc de Fougerolles play at centre back as he'll look to defend the back line with Richie Laryea and Derek Cornelius. He took Moise Bombito's spot as Bombito continues to recover from a broken leg.
Alphonso Davies also remains sidelined with a hamstring injury he suffered with Bayern Munich.
Canada opens its World Cup schedule against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Toronto at 3 p.m. ET / noon PT before playing its remaining group matches in Vancouver. Canada will take on Qatar on June 18 and Switzerland on June 24.
