It was a dream match for Canada on Thursday.
Facing Qatar in a game with massive implications, the Canadians were on the attack right from the opening whistle and didn't relent until they secured a 6-0 victory.
It marked the first World Cup win in the history of the men's Canadian program.
Cyle Larin, the hero from Canada's opening-game draw with Bosnia and Herzegovina, didn't wait long to reward Jesse Marsch for inserting him back into the starting lineup on Thursday.
Larin pounced on a rebound from a Jonathan David shot to put the Canadians up 1-0 in the 16th minute.
David then got his own moment in the spotlight 13 minutes later, as he hammered a volley into the back of the net to put Canada up 2-0.
The start got even better for Canada shortly after David's goal, as Qatar's Homam El Amin was shown a red card in the 33rd minute, putting his side down to 10 men for the remainder of the game.
David completed what was a dominant first half for Canada with his second of the game in injury time to put the Red and White up 3-0 heading into the break.
Despite losing Ismael Kone to a grim-looking leg injury, Canada continued to pour it on in the second.
The Canadians grew their lead on Nathan Saliba's marker, a Qatar own goal and David's hat-trick securing score in extra time.
Canadian soccer fans took to social media to applaud the historic win. Here are some of the best reactions.
