Toronto will feature one of the best Round of 32 matchups in the World Cup.
Portugal, the Group K second-place finisher, will take on Croatia, the runner-up in Group L, from Toronto Stadium on July 2 at 7 p.m. ET.
Portugal finished second after drawing Colombia 0-0 in its final group-stage game on Saturday. It was its second draw of the group stage, as it also shockingly tied Congo DR in its tournament opener. The Portuguese did manage to beat Uzbekistan 5-0 in their second game.
Croatia knocked off Ghana 2-1 on Saturday to pass them for second in the group. It was their second straight victory after an opening loss to England.
The contest will likely be the final World Cup game for one of Cristiano Ronaldo or Luka Modric, two aging superstars looking for the trophy that has eluded both of them throughout their careers.
The winner between Portugal and Croatia will take on the winner of Spain and the second-place finisher of Group J (either Austria or Algeria) in the Round of 16 on July 6.
The Round of 32 matchup will be the final World Cup game in Toronto.
