MONTREAL — The Montreal Alouettes re-signed Canadian defensive end/fullback James Tuck to a one-year deal Friday.

The six-foot, 230-pound Tuck was a 2014 fourth-round pick by Montreal. The 25-year-old Toronto native also saw action as a fullback last season.

"James is one of the hardest working players on the team," Montreal head coach/GM Jim Popp said in a statement. "He has been making a nice transition to fullback and creates matchup problems on special teams."

Tuck played collegiately at York University.
