MONTREAL — Alouettes linebacker Walter Spencer has returned home from the hospital to recover after being stabbed earlier this month.

Spencer was attacked in a Montreal bar Sept. 6 and spent four days in intensive care.

The Alouettes and Spencer said in a statement Friday they will not be commenting due to the ongoing investigation.

The Detroit native has played seven seasons in the CFL with Montreal, the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Calgary Stampeders.
