Twitter Reaction: Blue Bombers end long Grey Cup drought

Sean Reynolds caught up with Blue Bombers running back Andrew Harris following Winnipeg's Grey Cup win. Andrew Harris was named both the Grey Cup’s Most Outstanding Player and the Most Outstanding Canadian for the first time in CFL history.

The City of Winnipeg waited 29 years to be called Grey Cup champions and on Sunday the Blue Bombers delivered with a dominant 33-12 win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Andrew Harris played a big part in securing his hometown’s first title since 1990 rushing for 134 yards and adding 35 receiving yards to go along with two touchdowns. But offence didn’t tell the full story. The Blue Bombers’ defence forced seven turnovers, including three in the first quarter.

Many CFL fans took to social media to celebrate the win and the fact that Blue bombers’ fan Chris Matthews can finally wear pants again.
