WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed import receiver Adarius Bowman to a contract extension Friday.

The six-foot-four, 219-pound Bowman had 55 catches for a team-high 925 yards and six touchdowns last season, his first with the Bombers.

“We’re thrilled to lock down a receiver of Adarius’s calibre,” head coach Paul LaPolice said in a statement. “He proved he’s a real threat with the ball in his hands last season and we look forward to more of that moving forward.”

Added Bowman: “I’m excited to remain a Blue Bomber for the next coming years. The organization has been great to me. Winnipeg is a great city and they deserve to have a great CFL team. I think we are on that track and I’m excited to be a part of it.”

The Bombers also signed import quarterback Adam DiMichele, who joined the club in September and spent the remainder of the season on the practice roster.
