OTTAWA — National defensive lineman Maxx Forde was traded to the Ottawa Redblacks by the B.C. Lions on Saturday.

In exchange, the Lions receive a sixth-round pick in 2019 and a player from Ottawa’s negotiation list.

Drafted by the Lions in the seventh round (58th overall) in 2015, the national defensive lineman suited up for all 18 games for BC last season, recording eight defensive tackles, one sack and two forced fumbles.

The six-foot-five, 280-pound Forde appeared in 46 games at Idaho during his university playing career.
