EDMONTON — The Edmonton Eskimos hired Marcus Crandell as their offensive co-ordinator and Steff Kruck as a receivers coach Friday.
Crandell joins the Eskimos after spending two seasons as an offensive assistant with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Before becoming a coach, Crandell spent 11 seasons in the CFL as a quarterback, including three seasons with Edmonton (1997-’99).
Kruck spent five years with the BC Lions as their quarterbacks coach (2005-2009). Prior to moving to the CFL, the Philadelphia native spent 15 years coaching in the NCAA ranks.
The Eskimos also announced that linebackers coach Mark Nelson will remain with the CFL club in 2011.
