Harris, Fuller, Willy capture CFL’s top honours

TORONTO — Quarterbacks Trevor Harris and Drew Willy and receiver Jeff Fuller are the CFL’s top performers for the opening week of the 2015 season.

Harris completed 24-of-27 passes for 347 yards and three touchdowns in the Toronto Argonauts’ 26-11 victory over the Edmonton Eskimos in Fort McMurray, Alta. Harris made just his second career start with incumbent Ricky Ray on the six-game injured list as he recovers from off-season shoulder surgery.

Fuller captured the honour after registering nine catches for 148 yards in the Calgary Stampeders’ 24-23 home win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Willy was instrumental in the Winnipeg Blue Bombers’ 30-26 road win over the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He completed 22-of-25 passes for 325 yards and three touchdowns in the contest.
