EDMONTON — The Edmonton Eskimos have locked up offensive lineman Patrick Kabongo to a long-term deal.
The CFL team announced Thursday that the six-foot-six, 315-pound right guard has been signed through the 2013 season.
Kabongo started all 18 regular-season games and the Western semifinal against Calgary this year. The six-year CFL veteran was a West Division all-star in 2008.
The 30-year-old native of Kinshasa, Zaire, was Edmonton’s nominee for the most outstanding offensive lineman and most outstanding Canadian awards.
