Lions cut QB Greg McGhee, 9 others from training camp roster

VANCOUVER — Quarterback Greg McGhee was the biggest name among 10 cuts from the BC Lions’ training camp roster on Saturday.

The import QB lost out to Keith Price to become BC’s third-string quarterback.

Non-import offensive lineman T-Dre Player and import receiver Terence Jeffers-Harris were also cut from the Lions roster.

Rounding out the cuts were defensive backs Royce Adams and Chandler Fenner, receivers Kendrick Ings and Derek Yachison, linebackers Victor Aiyewa and Auston Johnson and kicker Tiernan Docherty.

In accordance with CFL regulations, the club will announce its 10-man practice roster on Monday morning and declare its 46-man roster on Friday.
