Muamba on Bombers: One in the books

So I got a game under my belt finally. The excitement and intensity was just how I had imagined.

After being sidelined with a knee injury, being able to play for the first time in about eight weeks felt amazing. Oddly enough, being tired and having aches in different places on my body also felt very good — a feeling I had been waiting for in a long time.

Having worked for something one has prepared for and successfully achieved, namely winning, it’s a feeling of great accomplishment. It is that feeling that all athletes work for on a weekly basis. Only one team per game gets to experience it. With hard work at practices and focusing on details and dedication to each play, we had the opportunity to experience this feeling the most out of every team in the Canadian Football League.

Now to face a new opponent, the Saskatchewan Roughriders, who have only won one game this season. However it’s not a game to be taken lightly. They are talented, hungry, made some coaching changes and not to mention this is the Labour Day Classic! A rivalry game which both cities mark down every year! The amount of Bomber fans that travel to this game is testament to the support the team has received all season long. A lot of talk has been mentioned to me about this game and how exciting it is every year. And after being in Saskatchewan for only an hour you can feel the electricity in the air! It will definitely be a great one.

I want to give a big shout out to my brother Cauchy who in his first start with the B.C. Lions was able to record an interception. Extremely proud and happy for you!
