The Ottawa Redblacks have signed American defensive back Jonathan Rose to a one-year extension.

Rose led the CFL with five interceptions last year, along with four forced fumbles. He also had interceptions in the East final and Grey Cup game.

The 25-year-old signed with the Redblacks in 2016. In 50 career CFL games, Rose has 153 defensive tackles, eight interceptions, six forced fumbles and a touchdown.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have hired D.J. Harper as running backs coach.

Harper spent the last two years as offensive graduate assistant at Fresno State University. He worked with new Ticats head coach Orlondo Steinauer on the NCAA team’s coaching staff in 2017.

Harper retired as a player after spending the 2014 season with the Ottawa Redblacks.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have given a two-year extension to American linebacker Kyrie Wilson and signed American receiver Rasheed Bailey.

Wilson returns to Winnipeg for his third season. He saw action in five regular-season and both playoff games last year, recording four defensive tackles, seven special teams tackles, and one sack.

Bailey has spent time with the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles, Jacksonville Jaguars, San Diego Chargers, Cleveland Browns and Carolina Panthers as well as the CFL’s B.C. Lions.
