The Riders also placed seven players on the injured list, including running back Wes Cates and offensive linemen Gene Makowsky and Jordan Rempel. Also, running back Neal Hughes, receiver David McKoy, defensive back Leron Mitchell and offensive lineman Wayne Smith went on the nine-game injured list.

And the Riders also placed defensive backs Daniel Francis, Joel Lipinski, Konrad Wasiela and Carlos Armour, running back Justin Beaver, offensive lineman Dan Clark, kicker-punter Perri Scarcelli and defensive lineman Joe Sykes on the practice roster.
