REGINA — Saskatchewan Roughriders fullback Graeme Bell is going out a champ.

Bell is retiring after winning the Grey Cup with the Roughriders in November.

The five-foot-11, 230-pound University of Saskatchewan product appeared in 97 regular season games over nine CFL seasons.

Bell signed as a free agent with Winnipeg in 2005 before joining Edmonton in 2009. He was then acquired by Saskatchewan in 2011

The 33-year-old registered 18 career carries for 66 yards and one touchdown while adding seven receptions for 28 yards and two touchdowns.

He also had 60 career special teams tackles.
