HAMILTON, Ont. — Tiger-Cats defensive tackle Darrell Adams is calling it a career after three seasons in Hamilton.

"I will always bleed black and gold, but mentally and physically I am not in a position to help this team win a Grey Cup," Adams said in a release.

Adams recorded 60 defensive tackles and 11 quarterback sacks in 27 games since he signed with the Ticats on Sept. 25, 2007. Adams played in nine regular-season games in 2009.

"On behalf of the Tiger-Cats organization, I would like to thank Darrell for his contributions on the field and in the community. We wish him the best in the future," GM Bob O’Billovich said.
