HAMILTON, Ont. — Tommy Condell is following Kent Austin to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Austin hired Condell as Hamilton’s offensive co-ordinator and receivers coach Thursday. The move comes three days after Austin was named the Ticats’ head coach, GM and vice president of football operations.

Condell joins the Ticats after serving as Austin’s assistant head coach and wide receivers coach for three seasons at Cornell. Condell has previous CFL coaching experience with the Saskatchewan Roughriders (offensive co-ordinator, 2006), Ottawa Renegades (quarterbacks, receivers coach, pass game co-ordinator, 2004-’05) and Winnipeg Blue Bombers (special-teams co-ordinator, 1997).

"Tommy is intelligent, creative and has an extremely strong work ethic," Austin said in a statement. "He is an outstanding fundamental teacher, but even more importantly he is an outstanding individual who relates well to his players.

"He demands results and has a great track record of production from his players."
