The Calgary Stampeders silenced the doubters with a convincing 27-16 win over the Ottawa Redblacks in the 106th Grey Cup. After losing the past two Grey Cup finals, it appears that third time was the charm for Calgary.
After a heartbreaking loss to the Toronto Argonauts last season, the Stampeders defence led the way with six takeaways and Terry Williams had a record-setting punt return touchdown.
Here’s a look at some of the social media reaction following Calgary’s dominant performance:

After being named the CFL’s Most Outstanding Player, Bo Levi Mitchell made the plays when he needed to as he secured his second title and Grey Cup MVP award.
One aspect of the game that didn’t go unnoticed was the condition of the field at Commonwealth Stadium which made life a bit difficult for players.
Once the game was in the books, the Stampeders made sure to pull out all the stop with their celebration on and off the field.
