TORONTO — Winnipeg quarterback Drew Willy, Edmonton defensive back Patrick Watkins and Calgary slotback Marquay McDaniel have been named the CFL’s top performers for Week 6.

Willy completed 17-of-25 passes for 269 yards and two TDs in the Blue Bombers’ 23-13 victory over the B.C. Lions on Thursday.

He also rushed for a career-high 72 yards on five carries, including a 30-yard run in the second quarter.

Watkins recorded two interceptions — returning one for a touchdown — a sack and five tackles in the Eskimos’ 30-5 rout of the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Friday.

Watkins picked off a Brett Smith pass in the third and ran 47 yards for the touchdown.

He finished off his impressive performance when he intercepted a Tino Sunseri pass on the final play of the game.

McDaniel recorded seven receptions for 126 yards and two touchdowns in Calgary’s 25-22 comeback victory over the Montreal Alouettes on Saturday.

After the Alouettes stormed out to a 17-0 lead, McDaniel began the Stampeders’ comeback early in the second by hauling in Drew Tate’s one-yard TD strike and cutting the deficit to 17-6.

He capped the comeback by catching Bo Levi Mitchell’s 42-yard TD pass two and a half minutes into the third.
