WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have released Canadian fullback James Green and signed import receiver Paul Hubbard.

Hubbard, at six foot two and 215 pounds, was a sixth-round draft pick of the Cleveland Browns in 2008.

He spent the season on their practice roster before joining the Oakland Raiders’ practice roster in 2009.

After being released by the Raiders following 2010 training camp, Hubbard was picked up by the Buffalo Bills.

He played in one game, had one reception for eight yards, and was released following training camp in 2011.

Green, 28, a Calgary native, signed with the Bombers in 2010 and appeared in 26 games over two seasons, registering 29 special teams tackles.

He was originally drafted by Toronto in the 2009 CFL entry draft.
