Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will decide whether to declare for the upcoming NFL Draft or return to the Crimson Tide on Jan. 6.
The 2018 Heisman Trophy runner-up made the announcement on Twitter Wednesday after Alabama’s season-ending win over Michigan in the Citrus Bowl.
I’ll be making my decision on the 6th.. God bless and Roll Tide

Tagovailoa had season-ending hip surgery in the middle of November. He threw 33 touchdowns, three interceptions and 2,840 yards in nine games before his injury.
“That’s a decision that I think his family needs to make,” Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban said after Wednesday’s win, according to ESPN. “And I’m sure when they make that decision, they’ll let everybody know. I think it’s our responsibility and our job to make sure that we give them all the information from an NFL standpoint, from a medical standpoint, from a rehab standpoint. And if there is any way that he could possibly be devalued because of his injury, what are the consequences of that and how does that affect his decision and what he does in the future.”
The Cincinnati Bengals hold the top pick in the 2020 draft, followed by the Washington Redskins and Detroit Lions.
