Philip Rivers and the Los Angeles Chargers will play host to the free-falling Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday afternoon as heavy 14-point betting favourites on the NFL Week 14 odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

Los Angeles improved to 8-1 straight up in its past nine games with a 33-30 win in Pittsburgh on Sunday night to remain one game back of the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West standings going into Sunday afternoon’s matchup at StubHub Center.

That Chargers victory as 3-point underdogs left them firmly in control of the AFC’s top wild card and also gave them a lift on the NFL futures where they are a +315 wager to claim the AFC West crown, and a dramatically shortened +1100 bet on the Super Bowl 53 odds.

The Bengals travel west amid a four-game SU slide that has dumped them out of playoff contention for a third straight year. Cincinnati is coming off a 24-10 loss in Denver as a 4-point underdog and has also fallen to defeat in three of four road dates, surrendering 34 points per game during that stretch. However, the Bengals have come away with the win in four of their last five meetings with the Chargers.

Elsewhere in Week 14, the Chiefs will try to overcome the loss of running back Kareem Hunt as they return home to battle the Baltimore Ravens as 6.5-point chalk. Kansas City maintained its perch atop the AFC standings with last week’s 40-33 victory in Oakland as 14-point chalk, and has held steady as a +550 wager on the Super Bowl odds.

The Ravens picked up their fourth straight SU win in Atlanta last weekend to close to within a half-game of the AFC North-leading Steelers, but sit back of Pittsburgh at +175 odds to win the division on the latest NFL futures.

As well, the Houston Texans aim for a 10th straight victory as they host the Indianapolis Colts as 4.5-point betting favourites on Sunday afternoon, while the Steelers look to stay ahead of Baltimore as they visit the Raiders as 10.5-point chalk. The Green Bay Packers begin life without head coach Mike McCarthy as they welcome the Falcons to Lambeau Field as 5.5-point favourites in a battle of NFC also-rans.

And a pair of NFC clashes with serious playoff implications also highlight the schedule this week as the Dallas Cowboys host the Philadelphia Eagles as 3.5-point chalk in a battle for top spot in the NFC East, while Sunday Night Football has the NFC North-leading Chicago Bears hosting the Super Bowl-favourite Los Angeles Rams as 3-point underdogs.
